Research Agenda

The CCSA will maintain a "living" research agenda focused on cyber conflict. The foundation of that agenda is a paper written for IEEE by James Mulvenon entitled, "Toward a Cyberconflict Studies Research Agenda." The CCSA plans to continually broaden and deepen our research agenda by hosting quarterly workshops on individual issues or areas of academic study. Listed below are links to specific question sets. We invite academics, researchers, and practitioners to think deeply and write about these issues.

Legal

Policy and Strategy

Theoretical

Infrastructure

The CCSA plans to further develop a national cyber conflict research agenda by hosting additional workshops on the themes identified below:

July 2006Law
October 2006Economics
April 2007 Arms Control
July 2007 Infrastructure Protection
October 2007Diplomacy
March 2008Response

We realize these topic areas represent only a small fraction of the many research domains related to cyber conflict. We welcome the opportunity to work with organizations wishing to further a national cyber conflict research agenda related to other topic areas. If interested, please contact the CCSA at research@cyberconflict.org.
